I've already posted these (and many more) elsewhere but I thought it'd be good to have them here too, as another example of b/w with the X100. Nothing fancy going on here, everything hastily edited on an old laptop, just ACR or Rawtherapee (Linux) -> Photoshop, where I used channel mixer & curves, occasionally some slight dodging/burning.

That's some of the best Occupy-related shooting I've seen, particularly "I Could Lose My Job"

Nice shots! When I first say the first photo, I knew it had to be Buenos Aires, even before I read the comment above it... it's also interesting how "3M" is in both photos.

First spin out with my X100 since it came back from having the sticky aperture fixed - seems to be working well

I just have to say Wow at the last couple posts. Some of the images in this thread are mind blowing. I think the x100 will change the way we look at street photography.

None too great, but a few from my first morning out with the X100, at an early morning car boot sale/flea market:

hey celluloidprop: is the pumpkin shot monochrome in-camera, or post process? if it is in-camera, i'd surely like to know the setting ...

I wish I could get in-camera mono to look that good!
Imported into LR3, lens profiled, I think I bumped the clarity ~20, then exported into Silver Efex Pro 2. That's the Tri-X preset with some global alterations (dynamic brightness, structure, IIRC), vignette and a film border.
It seemed a bit dark when it went back into LR3, so I raised the brightness slightly in LR3.
(weirdly, that sounds like a lot of effort, but it was probably a 5-minute process overall)
Helps that it was an overcast day - I find that when the sun is out, SEP2's Kodak and Ilford film profiles can blow highlights and kill shadows too easily. The Agfa and Fuji profiles don't seem to do that.
