Paul, this is one of the best I've seen of this type of photo. Well done!

Here are a few photos from my timberframing business.
All were taken with my X100. RAFs processed in ACDSee Pro 6.

these images are really great, esp the b&w. i had the original x100 and loved the subtlety of the tonality it was able to capture at 12mp. of coursethe fuji color was vibrant as expected.

i sold it to finance the rx1, which on a resolution and low light basis is just a beast. but after using it for a year and revisiting my x100 photos, i really think the rx1 b&w pale in comparison to the x100. i just dont see the range of tone, the subtle shades of gray, the texture of the blacks. anyone who's had both care to comment? am i crazy?

IMO, the X100 is one of the best digital cameras there is for B&W.

The X100 is special for B&W. Love it!! I will try to post some photos at night.

Some days ago I had a rx1 in my hands, with the evf... When I felt the camera I didn't like it. It was a COLD feeling... I thought on my X100... And for me, the feelings are very important in photography...

I got rid of my X100 a few years back having never quite got on with it as much as I'd hoped. Though looking back I wonder if I had an small banding issue with the sensor that wasn't quite pronounced enough to jump out at me but enough to give a sense of dissatisfaction. I loved the form and ergonomics though so tried again with the X100T.

I now have the perfect (for me) carry round digital. It's taken ages to have any free time with it but finally managed to get out with it for a couple of hours today.
