I like the Crumpler strap. I have always used Optech's on my DSLR and I did use it for a few days on my X-Pro1 too.

The Crumpler strap is very comfortable on the neck. If I was to nip pick, I would say that the spongy part is not super flexible in the sense that you if wrap the strap around your wrist, the spongy (black) part will try to spring back to a U-shape. However, canvas straps that will wrap easily around the wrist are not that comfortable on the neck.

What tripod is that?

Art, that is the Manfrotto 055NAT tripod with the 4 something matching 3-way pan head. It's a great tripod, just heavy. Legs + head is 6 Kg. I bought this tripod in 2000 and it is still a great tripod. Super steady!

My travel tripod is a CF Giotto that is only 2 KG with head. That tripod travels with me around the world.

Thanks for the reply Louis, a few other questions. Is it long enough to comfortably wear across the body? Also, is it possible to detach the neoprene part? Or even cut it off for good? Normally I'd just go out any buy the thing given how cheap it is, but I'm rather skint at the moment..

Yes, it is long enough to wear across the body, and just long enough for you to raise it to eye level.

The neoprene (that's the word I was looking for) looks easy to remove. You will have to cut the stitching though.
