That's so true Caffeineshutter! It's something I ponder on from time to time and wonder whether it's mainly shutter and damping differences. From paradoxical results with a variety of cameras and lenses over many years I can't think it's just weight and balance of combined body and lens. In fact I don't think they're very important as factors. My Nikons seem best of all (D100) by a very large amount. I can hold them at 1/15 at get very reliable results, even better than M4-P, M7, R3M, R3A, all of which were far better than a Canon 350D (which was often unreliable at 1/90) and a 20D which was just as heavy as the D100! (Only comparing results for equivalent focal lengths, of course).
