Prague

Some context please. Is this a surviving tradition? Or is this guy riding back home after a tourist exhibition?
This said, nice image in all respects. Including the ambiguity of the scene.
I lived there for 2 long stretches and have spent more than 2 years in Prague overall, but I have no idea what was going on, and no-one else I spoke to did either. We were walking home from a dinner at the Strahov Monastery in September 2009, through Mála Strana, across Karlův most and through to our apartment in the Národní Trída area of Old Town. Just before we crossed the bridge, five or six guys on horses, dressed in period costumes, rode past. It was 2009 and I had a loaner M9. I took this and a few other frames with my Noctilux. That’s all I know.

If you go on Google Street view to Mostecká 28-78 you can see the arch where I took the photo. I also have a few shots of them on the bridge.

A perfect example of "f/8 and be there". Nothing is so wonderful as to be present, camera in hand, when the world presents us with magic and mystery!
