It sure does not like stray light. A lot of reflection and glow in high contrast images.

All those uncoated lenses hate stray light, but the lens will certainly also have had a flare in 1945 too. Do you have a shade on the Xenon?

I have the XOONS for the Summarit that sort of fits to it, but I'm too afraid of losing it 😉

Yes, sometimes there is an inexplicable spot without contrast in the image. This is also the case with the early uncoated Elmar 50mm. Very hard to get that away.

I'm now shooting with a ten-blade uncoated Summitar, I will see what happens. I don't like the huge shade, so I use the small ring from the Elmar-M via a kind of adapter.
