I am surprised. All the great pics in this thread yet none shot with a vintage 28/6.3 Hektor. Guess I'll have to cure that after mine gets here tomorrow.

Well Don? :)

Here are a couple of Summar shots from Armistice Day

Cool, Rick.

I have a nickel Summar coming with a black Leica II. It was a steal, that kit. The Summar I'll keep and shoot (user grade condition, how I like my vintage stuff the best:D), the black Leica II might get sold if I cannot afford to keep it. Got one already and two would be too much. At least, I think it would...

Planning to shoot pushed Polypan F in the Leica II and use low-contrast uncoated lenses to balance the high-contrast film, see what that gets me. I'll post once I have anything worthwhile.

Great stuff everybody! Show your uncoated pre-war shots!

Looking for shots from:
  • 6.3/28mm Hektor
  • 6.3/105mm Berg-Elmar
  • 4.5/135mm Elmar
  • 4.5/135mm Hektor

These are not yet present in this thread! We'd love to see some of those shots, in B&W, color and digital!

I confess I don't use my 135mm f/4.5 Hektor much.. Euh..is the Summaron pre-war?
I still got a couple of Wollensak lenses on the Christmas wishlist.

Dibs on your Black Leica II Johan if you ever choose to sell it. ;)

Summar on Zeiss Ikon body, Tri-X, backlit just after sunset.

Great portrait Erik. Tonality (again) is impressive!

That little uncoated pre-war Elmar is plenty sharp! :D Really love mine!

Taken with an uncoated Summitar that dates to 1942. Not pre-war, but uncoated so identical to the pre-war Summitars. So hopefully ok to post here :)

That Portra and an uncoated lens is pretty nice!

Got two rolls around here somewhere, seems I might need those for a spin whenever a brighter day is up. Currently it's all gray and flat light here...
