Beautiful! The just-barely-detectable facial details force me to keep staring and wondering.

Unsolicited comment, but I think if you burn down the strip of bright sun at the top of the frame to almost match the rest of the field, the foreground figures will really sparkle and the figure in the upper right background will pop a bit more.

Wonderful work again, David. How did you get the sky this black? Beautiful effect. Did you use a filter?
Erik.

Wonderful photos, David. I assume you must have used a red filter to darken the sky.

I am testing my recently acquired Elmar 50mm f/3.5, a nickle one from about 1934.

Looks like that new Elmar is a good one Erik!.. Karlin, love that shot with the laptop!
I fall into the camp of always using filters! Used a red for two of those but my default is always a light yellow.. I've got a set of the leitz 19mm ones which I use with a VOOLA adjustment ring in a fison hood...
Happy shooting all!

Hi all..
This week it's 3 new ones from my lightbox set..all using the BELUN stand. I did learn something though over the last couple of weeks...I had NO idea that the legs lift out of the base..I always assumed that they were screwed in!...makes it a lot easier to store! I managed to pick up the version of the BELUN for the Summitar too, which means I can interchange parts between the two stands and use it with the Summar as well....
These are all with the uncoated elmar and the III....
