Price Check: DS M3 w/ VF Upgrade (35mm framelines, etc)...

Hi all,


As some may have read i recently purchased a DS M3 w/ upgrading VF. I'm not sure which VF it has but it has framelines for 35/135, 50, and 90. Maybe its an M4 frameline set? I dont know.

It's serial number is in the low 900,000 range. It has dog ear strap lugs with complete leatherette covering. The only issue with the covering is a slight bit of "bubble" around the round metal post (near open/close latch for bottom plate) where the adhesive has lifted up some. It's still solid around the post but just slight but of bubble on the left and right side of the post.

It has m3 frame preview, self timer, rewind lever as well. Bottom plate has some scuff marks and only a very slight bit of rubbing on the top plate where apparently someone had a leica meter on the top. it is engraved top as well.

Overall the body is in great condition. No dents, just some slight marks on top from Leica meter and on bottom plate where obviously the camera has been used.


I was just curious as to what the price on this might go for?

(Not actually selling the camera... i just was curious as to what it might be actually worth on the market...)

Since you purchased it only recently, well, on the market it's worth what you paid for it 🙂

Who did the work? Do you have the invoice? I would think who did the work could influence whether it's a + value, a level value or even a - value situation.

Well the issue is that i dont know who did the work on it.

Since i bought it from a camera store i didnt really know the story behind it...

any ideas on how i could figure out who did the work on it besides asking the camera store? I guess i could send emails to DAG, Youxin, and Sherry (i think that is her name) and ask?
