i think i am too lazy to have my cl repaired and was also thinking that maybe someone would be interested in it as a fixer upper.
until it stopped working :bang: it worked pretty good.
the meter arm does not return and there is a tiny brass spacer that fell out and which i still have. it could be an easy fix at little cost or it could be more.
i do not know.

i'm thinking of asking 100 bucks as an as is - not working - camera body.
the body is in very good shape.

too high or about right, price wise?

Too cheap ... too cheap! I have never seen a CL sell for less than $200.00 on fleabay broken or otherwise!

I know fleabay can be inflated but I do remember a while ago, seeing a non working CL sell for over $250.00

Your decision though Joe ... and as long as it goes to another forum member you will have commited a truly charitable act!

It's not that I don't want another CL, it's that I don't need one, I have two m5 a cl three various bessas an m3 and all the leica but my cl need something. Plus I just sold some of my electronics that I make for my business so my free time is gone, but I'm sick in the head! I actually liked working on my CL.. I'd like to work on my m5s but I need to make a wrench to fit the dreaded advance retainer.
I think I could fix it, some people think meterless CL are fun, but I think the meter is great, despite it's poor rep. To me a swinging meter cell is no dummer than a mirror slapping out of the way just in time..

A month ago I passed up a fully functional CL with a really clean 40mm for $360 for just that reason, "I don't need it". I don't know why I listen to myself......
