hi
1) which version is this lens?
on the filter ring, it says "Leitz Canada 27xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Summicron 1:2/35"
Is this the earlier 4th version (according to cameraquest website)
However cameraquest states that the earlier 4th version 1980 to 1998 says " Earlier lenses have "LEITZ LENS MADE IN CANADA""

So i am a little confused

this lens as a tab to it.

however based on the serial no, i am guess it is the 3rd version on cameraquest...

2) what is the price of a lens that is 8/10 condition with hood 6/10 condition and no box?

$650 is a little on the low side. Going on eBay for $700-$950.

This is v3. I bought mine like new here at RFF with hood for US 700.

Love the lens, one element less than the v4; no flare, high contrast and similar OOF behavior
than the v4.

Roland.

Well, there's no firm rule. Whatever you can negotiate is the best price, box or no box.

perhaps...

Ebay often sells high because of competitive bidding. I've bought two V3s at $650 per. If you're looking at up to $950, then you ought to consider the V4. I have bought two V4 at $800, both in Ex condition, one off ebay and the other off the other RF site.

Back to V3: I bought one V3 at a high priced cam store in Newport Beach, CA, for $650. I bought a second V3 at L.A. camera show, $650 again.

Prices vary and depends of what the buyer is willing to throw down. My suggestion to you is based on four buys I made. I happen to like the V3 but would not exceed $700 for good copy because I know I can pick up V4 for $100 more using a tad of patience.

Hope this helps.
