Price For a 35 Summaron 2.8 with eyes?

Folks,

I may be looking to sell my 35mm f2.8 summaron with eyes but I haven't a clue what a fair price is for this lens.

I've checked out Ebay and the prices are all over the map thanks to people with poor feedback.

Can you folks give me an idea of what a fair asking price for an excellent (KEH EX to EX+) version of this lens would be?

a year ago, there was a semi-local shop selling that lens/goggles combo for about $300.. they seemed slightly high with their used gear pricing, tho and it probably would have needed a CLA.. I didn't look at it close enough since I didn't know much about Leica gear at the time and didn't know what it would be worth

The non-googled f3.5 version sells for between $200 to $300. The non-googled f2.8 version sells for $400 to $500. The googled f2.8 should sell somewhere between, because it's faster than the f3.5, but more bulky and less convenient than the non-googled f2.8 version.

its a nice lens, especially w/ eyes. For some reason however they don't cost that much - probably because most Leicaphiles are looking for faster lenses. having said that I've seen them quite commonly going in the $300+ range.

Dave, if your 35mm/f2.8 Summaron lens were mine -- and I could honestly say it was, say, a 9 on a scale of one to ten {ten being best}, with no dents, dings, damage, fungus or oil on the blades -- I would put it on Ebay for the smallest opening bid I would be glad to get if I got only one bid...Say $335usd and hope I'd get more...You'd also want to charge, say, $10 to mail, plus $5 required insurance, Paypal preferred but you'd also accept cash, cashier's check or US Postal Money Order and discourage Western Union Money Orders {as hard to cash easily}...If you would accept less, list it for less...And if you list it, be sure to take decent photographs so people won't be looking at dirty, fuzzy, amateur pix...Also, if it has cleaning marks, be sure to say so...I hope that helps...regards, bob 😎
