Print washers.

I have decided to get a decent print washer and am looking at a VERSALAB
model. Anyone use one of these and what do you think of them please.

Best $100 (used 11x14) I ever spent at that end of the processing chain. You might want to reinforce your sink where it sits; weighs a ton when filled. I bounce the rack every so often to dislodge bubbles, but adjusting flow rate effects that, too. The clear acrylic ones are for entertainment, like watching the dryer tumble clothes.

Keep an eye on your local craiglist, I think it took me a year and half to find a good print washer that was in my price range and that wasn't snag'd on before I could get to them.

I ended up with a very nice 11x14 plexiglass style one. Love it.

I have a 16x20 Versalab, although since moving to a smaller place I no longer use it. It is a terrific washer, has served me well for many years.

I too have the 16x20 Versalab. I've used it for four years now without any issues. Works just as well as much more expensive models. It holds a lot of water when filled, so yes it gets heavy. I put mine on a rolling cart next to my sink; the cart is a little higher than the bottom of my sink, so with the hoses in the sink bottom it drains nicely.

I use the 11x14 Versalab set up in the bathtub and hooked up to the shower
head. Works great and no issues.

It'll wash prints but if you have time, I'd suggest a Kostiner archival washer instad. If you really want to search for unicorns, Summitek is it. I believe the Cascade washers are same principle as the Summitek (which I have, and love).

Basically, I prefer designs where each print is kept separate from other prints in its own compartment, which the Versalab doesn't afaik.
