^Inkjet is awful. If you're printing from home, it's either no savings or barely any savings, over taking it to your local Wal-mart of photolab and printing it on Lightjet. Even a Frontier is amazing compared to any inket.
For 4x6s and 5x7s, I think a regular scan and print is fine. For larger, RA-4 printing is higher quality unless you're getting some combination of dedicated/drum scanning and Lightjet printing, especially good if it's Chromira or Lambda. However, I much prefer the process and look of an RA-4 print on Supra Endura.
