Hi folks. I have had my Summicron-C for a couple of years now and there's one thing about it that's been bothering me right from the beginning.
It looks like the center ring that has the filter threads on it is "recessed" too much, so when I screw on my Heavystar adapter for filters/hood etc., it contacts the aperture ring that rides around the edge. This makes it hard to change the aperture settings.
When viewed from the side, it looks like the aperture ring sits slightly "higher" than the center ring, causing the problem.
I am wondering, is something wrong with the lens, and if so, is it easy to fix?
Thanks!

Hi,
I doubt if it's the lens at fault. Leica equipment works well with Leica accessories. But the C range needed a C range lens hood and filters. Fitting non-standard ones seems to be the problem.
