Hey folks

Sometimes when I try lock my r-lever to rewind the film it wont stay in place and just snaps back so I have to pin it down with my thumb while i rewind the film, which is really annoying.

However, I noticed that it work if the camera is not cocked, and the advance lever is in "resting thumb position" if you get what I mean.

Is this how it should be when you rewind the film? The manual says nothing about it and more people online would be confused like me if that would be the case.

No. Something is not quite right. Does this happen with every film? Re-cocking the shutter should bring the rewind-release lever back. Perhaps at end of roll the shutter is partially-cocked and interfering with the rewind-release lever lock position?

Yeah re-cocking snaps rewind-release back.

It's possible, usually I advance my film past 36 frames if the camera allows me, so that might be the problem because sometimes it's stops halfway through the advancement.

I have to experiment a little, I tried to rewind today at frame 36 uncocked and it still seemed to snap back, but maybe I was to quick to push the rewind-lever, should it snap hard & easily or does it snap back if you're to quick?

Also at the end of rewinding the film the re-wind knob can feel very "gritty and jumpy" and makes a little whirring sound?
