Problem with Mamiya 6 150mm lens?

I just bought a 150mm lens for my Mamiya 6. I noticed that the tab that sticks out the back that engages the rangefinder cam in the camera body wiggles a bit when you touch it. Is that normal for these lenses, or should it be rock solid?

Mine is not quite rock solid, but it is close. It has just the tiniest bit of play. It moves in and out as the lens is focused.

It is supposed to go in and out when you focus, I understand that, but mine can be jiggled side to side slightly too.

But I no longer own it so can't check for you.

I apologize for not being clear. The tab on my lens has a very slight bit of lateral play that is just barley noticeable if I specifically look for it.
