Joe, I owe you one! Especially considering I spent close to 30x what you paid!
It took me a bit of doing but I figured it out, with your tip. I found info on adjusting the custom settings (including the annoying flash setting) at the mir.com site, so that was a big help also. Long fingernails, or a penpoint, are crucial to pushing in those buttons. I had to reset the focus dial and exposure comp. as well.
So now my only concern seems to me making sure the AF is accurate -- I've learned with many autofocus cameras to be very wary of what the distance readout indicates. Now we'll see how she does with actual film.
