I went to the Yankee v. Red Sox game last night (Yankees won 7-3, yeah!).
What's this got to do with PS?
Well with Gary Sheffield on the DL (disabled list) on Monday the Yankees brought up from its minor league club a young right fielder named Melky Cabrera to fill in.
Since he was a late addition and had never played for the team the guys who flash player photos up on the giant screen didn't have one of the guy actually wearing a Yankees uniform.
So for his first two at bats the picture displayed was obviously "photoshopped" where they merged his face into one of a Yankee hat and jersey. Problem was, the angle was wrong - it looked like the guy was wearing the cap at an angle (the hat was straight and face was looking to the left). Truth be told he looked like a dork. A sorry sight for 54,000 fans to see!
But, by his thrid at bat the guys in the "PS lab" had adjusted the angle of his face under the cap and suddenly he was looking at us with his hat on straight!
Nice PS quickie correction!
