Put Away that Drab B&W Stock, Silly... It's Fall!

Beautiful shot.

Can you tell me a bit about this Ferrania 100 it was shot on.

Thanks.

Thank you, firefly and Andre.

Here is the little I know: it is/was made in Italy. I understand from other photogs it is no longer being made, but the 100 and 400 are still available from stocks in the USA and Europe. It is C-41 process. An RFF member here - Chubasco - knows how to contact a Ferrania/USA seller. Chubasco (Bill) gave me several rolls of the 100 and 400. It is gone now. My only gripe with the Ferrania is that with certain reds, it "neonizes" them. I think it has a wonderful "look" when slightly muted, especially the 100. I have seen Ferrania for sale on ebay ...

Dang Stewart, that post just cost me some coffee, which got spewed all over my desk. Nice post, but dark. :D

What can I say? just a jaded and cynical AP reader ... Photographing Autumn Colour ... has repeated for each of the last 40 odd years

... nothing personal Roger :)

Didn't know that, Eddie. I highly recommend it for general stuff. Memories 200 is wonderful, too (made on Konica's old film equipment). It is available from dollar-type stores west of the Mississippi. Chubasco gave me a roll of that. Good stuff, especially for people. Cheap, too.

Here's the beautiful variation in color we see in California ;):

But we do have transplants that help:
