Mac OS X has a wonderful tool built in called automator.
Today I happened to remember the 'quartz composition filter functionthingy'. Made an application that copies the files to a specified folder and then runs the Quartz Composition Filter/colour invert.
The result is horrible as you can see on my side to side comparison of a pixelmator inverted and a quartz inverted photo below.
The question is why, and what to do about it, any other ways of inverting colour with automator that I haven't spotted yet?
