ql17 glll loose lens

hello,
i recently bought a ql17 glll from a garage sale. ive wanted one for so long, and when i found it i couldn't resist, even though the lens is loose/wobbly. i took the top, bottom, front, and some of the front of the lens off, but couldn't figure it out???

the whole lense giggles a bit, all the way through to the rear of the lense. i tried going in through the back, but i couldnt loosen either if the 2 rings.

can someone help? where should i be digging? im not a technician, just a tinkerer.

when i look in through the back and wiggle the lens, it looks like where its loose is even further back than the 2 rear rings... the wiggle stops at the back rectangle mask just beyond the gate. When i had the front apart, it looked loose beetween a brass colored ring that looks "stationary", and the next closest ring that rotates when focusing. it also "feels" like its looser on one side / corner of the lens (upper left if looking ar the cameras face).

the problem is that when i try to focus normaly, it is stiff, and doesnt focus to infinity, but when i hold the lens in with one finger on the upper left, focusing is smooth and proper.

does this mean its garbage?
i dont want to give up on her, otherwise she's perfect.

if i wanted to get at the focusing helical, where do i disassemble, through the lens?, or can i remove the lens through the back?
