QL19 w/ Canonlite D?

I am about to purchase a Canonet 28 with Canonlite D for $15 🙂
What I am wondering is whether the Canonlite D is compatible with my old style QL19. The QL19 has a flash mount but there is no pin in it.

The Canonlite D was designed for the "new" QL series and the GIII's. You need to use a flash with a cord on the early models.

You could always put a tiny Hama adapter with a hot shoe and a PC sync connector between them, they cost as little as ... $15 🙂

But then theres not automatic flash of course.

I've used my Canonlite D with my GIII several times and was MOST impressed with the results.

Not sure about the older rig...

Ok, sounds like it won't work without a cable. That's ok, I didn't buy it for the flash 🙂 plus I can still use the flash with the Canonet 28, which by the way, is mint condition. I'm really looking forwarding to trying it out.
