Question about Arista film.

Arista Premium 400 is a great film. Just like Tri-X. I have shot a few rolls and the film even come out purple like Tri-X.

I have both Arista Premium and Trix in 100 ft (about 2000 ft of both) cans. When I load my cassettes I dont even bother marking them as to which one is which. They can be used as one film.
I haven't tried the 100 - but from what I have seen it looks like Plus X.
Also consider the Legacy Pro line - it is Fuji Neopan Presto 400. Another great film.

Thanks, David, but what's the quality like of Fomapam? I don't plan on printing bigger than about 10X10 from 120 negatives. The price sure seems appealing.

i order arista premium 400 (tri-x) and the legacy pro 100 (acros). I develop them just like tri-x and acros with no problems. I've pushed the premium to 3200 in rodinal the same way I do tri-x and it comes out identical

Great images, BTW, how do you deal with the scan problem, dusts and scratch etc.?

Thanks. I clean everything as well as I can before loading the scanner, which helps enormously. Use a blower and a Staticmaster brush. There's still some dust spotting to be done in Photoshop, but a lot less than when I was less careful about cleaning.

As others have said:

AP400 - just like Tri-X; I have a few bricks of this, and shoot it and process it in XTOL just like I would with Tri-X

AP100 - just like Plus-X. I also have a few bricks of this and process it in Microdol -- This is my currently my favorite combo.

EDU - it's okay, but curling is a PITA.

Legacy Pro 400 - I have a brick of this; based on my experience, same as Neopan 400.

Legacy Pro 100 - Anecdotally, this is Acros 100. I've never used this.
