hi all, my lens hood cap has a wee bit too much play, and i'm wondering if anyone has encountered this issue and remedied it...
as it stands, the cap stays on if pointing downward. but the moment you handle it, it comes right off. so when kept in a bag or if brushed against my shirt, it will fall off.
i could peel out the felt lining on the inside of the cap and glue in something a little thicker. but before going to painstaking lengths, i'd love to hear if anyone has a simpler solution.
btw, i LOVE the hood and cap combo. the one thing i've disliked most about the g lenses is those awful caps.

Yes. Keep the caps in your drawer. For real life use get yourself a plastic 57mm Schneider slip-on large format lens cap. B&H sells them for $4. As an added benefit when they slip (they never do), and hit the pavement, no damage.
