I have five Canon LTM camera bodies and on some of them I am thinking that the high shutter speeds may be slower than they ought to be. I have been looking up online help with this and a common fix involves cleaning and lubricating the slow speed escapement. That’s easily enough done, it seems. My question is: am I to understand that to only affect slower shutter speeds? Will doing that job improve shutter speeds across the board? Is there another way of cleaning and lubing something else on these cameras (Canon 7, Canon P, Canon 7S) to improve higher shutter speeds? Anyone? anyone?
