I have a super ikonta 6X9 coupled folder, but the shutter release shall be pressed by the left hand, which is a trouble for me. Therefore I am looking for another coupled rangefinder/folder.

Is Telka III the right one which I use my right hand for shutter release button? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

mentions a customisation to get a left hand shutter release. So in its original state it should be right handed. The lens quality surprises me given the wider character of the lens and some bad image samples on other web sites.

Does it have to be 6X9 ? Can it be 6X6?

My Super Ikonta A is on the left as well. However, the Super Ikonta III I have, they moved it to the right.

Isn't the idea that you adjust the RF with the right hand and therefore the shutter with the left so you don't have to remove your hand from the RF control to snap the shutter?

Sorry, I don't have one so I am not sure of that, but I have seen some that are that way. Then it is a retraining of the motor movements of the hands the OP should try for (if possible).

Maybe the OP has medic problems with his left hand and cannot use it to trigger the shutter. Maybe he can use it to set the range. Would be nice if he could further clarify.

In fact, when you are searching for coupled rangefinder folders in the 6x9 format there seem to be less around with a right hand then with a left hand shutter release button. The Demaria-Lapierre Telka III is one of them and looks to be a fine folder. Must put that on my wishing list !

Thanks all for contribution. Just come back from Chinese Spring Festival.

I am used to adjusting focus with left hand, press shutter button with right hand. Therefore I am looking for a 6X9 camera like this mechanism.

For 6X6, I really enjoy using mamiya 6 folder. It is awsome.

Telka III is left-hand shutter release

After consulting Certo6, it is confirmed that Telka III is a left-hand shutter release design. What a pity! I have no confidence on using my left hand's finger.

I have a Telka III. Yes, the release button is on the left hand side. However, you focus with your right index finger, thus you don't have to shift your grip on the camera.
