Hello all, I recently acquired an OM2 and a Winder1. The winder works but for some reason it won't advance the film far enough to cock the shutter for the next shot. Is there a way to adjust this or would you say it's just worn out.

I put fresh batteries in when I got it. But now I'm thinking that the advance on my OM2 is too tight for it to work. I put it on my OMPC and it works perfectly. So I guess I need to get my OM2 working a little smoother.

The switch in that camera body probably needs adjustment. Also, your winder probably need a new winding clutch. This is a rubber O ring used in Olympus Winder 1, 2, Motor Drive 1 and 2. It often turns to tar and can also cause the defect you describe. Literally EVERY motor and winder I get now needs this replaced. John, www.zuiko.com
