Question for Wolves 3012 et al.

Just looking at the list of kit you include in your signature made me wonder this, and the question is aimed at all with a 'collection'; say you see a nice car, or bike, or whatever, in the street outside your house and you decide to go and photograph it. There is no rush, no need for a special lens, nothing tricky - just a simple snap. Which camera do you pick up?

The question was not directed to me but my answer is "The camera that has film in it". I only use one single camera each time for a couple of weeks, then I change to another camera, and so on. Except if I have in mind some specific aim (travel, concert pictures), I always manage with the camera I am using at that time.

Right now I have film in the CL with the 40mm Summicron as well as in the Bessa L with the 15mm Heliar sitting together on the table next to me. They're both loaded with Tri-X. I guess which ever one screams "Me! Me! Take me!" the loudest?

My answer's the same as Joao really, whichever has film in it. I tend to have film in one of the Zorki 1/FED 1/Leica IIIC all the time, largely because they are the most pocketable.

Other than those, I tend to rotate use so they all get used and, being a bit of a tinkerer, there's probably a test-film in the latest "tweak" one. Depending on the shot, I may not reach for the "tweak" as first choice, just in case I didn't fix that niggle and I lose the shot!

I do have the more-neglected ones though, like the later FEDs. I like the Zorki finders best, in honesty. I also rarely use the Zenits, simply because I can't focus them without glasses. Then there's the Kiev 4, which was my late fathers so it's more sentimental than a user. Ditto the Yashica, which I inherited from an uncle.
