My electro's battery died today after about a week, and i have concluded that the battery check lamp is to blame. The battery check button has a very 'ready' connection, and sometimes after i press it the lamp remains on until i tap the side of the camera (the lamp perhaps stayed on overnight if something on the bureau it was left on held down or touched the button). To rememdy the issue i have considered replacing the lamp with an LED. Has anyone done this? Does anyone else have this problem? I would simply like to know if the voltage for the lamp is compatible with the approximate 1.5-4.5 volt range of your average LED . . .

nevermind! replaced all three lamps with a yellow, a red, and a green LED. Used 220 ohm resistors to compensate currnent to a good 20 MA. work great and look great, and my battery will last longer. :)
