I am going out to shoot a rock show in a small bar tonight. I have never been to this particular venue, so I don't know quite how dark it will be. I will be shooting mostly with 1600 iso film at large apertures, but I still have half a roll of 400 speed film in my camera that I don't want to go to waste. Therefore, even though I almost never use one, I will be using a flash for this half roll. My flash is a Minolta auto 200x, which has high flash and low flash settings as well as the auto settings, which are useless since I don't use a minolta slr. I understand how to use the guide on the back for choosing my settings depending on whether I use the high settings or the low settings, but how do I know whether I should use the high or low settings? Is there a certain EV below which I should use the high, and above which I should use the low? Many thanks!
