quick poll...

i took both bodies with 18/35...(28/50)

for new york i'm taking the 14 and 35 (21/50) and maybe the 60 (90)...i missed the longer lens in vancouver.

I can understand you missing the 60 in Vancouver but won't the streets of NYC call for your wides? I'm only guessing, perhaps Helen can chime in here.

Travel is ALWAYS 2 bodies and at least 2 lenses.... Just when you think the one body you bring on a trip is absolutely immune to failure, Murphy taps on your shoulder and says Howdy!

Of course, if you're going to NYC, it'd be easy enough to buy a new body if the one you bring fails on you.

i'll have the 14 for wide...i'll be staying on long island...lots of boats and water there too...

Joe, if you're quick and sure with lens changes in the field, such that you're worried neither about missing a shot nor dropping a lens while changing, then 1 body with 3 lenses. If not, or if the environment is such that there's a real risk of camera malfunction (water, dust, etc.), then 2 bodies and two lenses.

i'm pretty steady handed with lens changing...the envronment should be friendly enough i think...

one body and 3 lenses--because I can't afford two bodies ;) ... (That said, it'd be cool to use two bodies and two lenses--and never have to change lenses.)
