quick poll...

I would go with 2 bodies + 2 lenses + rx100
14+35 sound about right and the rx100 can cover tele end as well.

I'd say two bodies two lenses. that way if the absolute worst case scenario happens you have at least one extra camera... On my last New York trip I brought 2 bodies 3 lenses and never used the 85, or the 50, or the other body, I just left the 28 on all the time, but I felt really good having both of them just in case.

2+3 : I built up a set of small lenses for travel to allow the option of leaving some or all of the larger and heavier fast lenses at home.

one camera bag...

inside,

2 bodies and 2 lenses?

or

1 body and 3 lenses?

for 3 weeks of travel...

choose!

Since you're all-digital, 1 body plus 2 lenses, and a small digicam (2nd body, I guess), in case something goes wrong, or your battery dies...

i just packed up the citywalker 20 with 2 bodies and 3 lenses plus 'everything else'...

it's a much bigger bag than the compact L2 and the only thing extra is the third lens...

doesn't seem worth it.

if i add the tiny rx100 to my shirt pocket i would have it all!

I still say 'one camera one lens' Joe. Give yourself a break for awhile and just explore the world with the simplest kit. And if that freaks you out a bit too much, slip the RX100 in your shirt pocket... just in case. I traveled the U.S. for months with a Nikon F3 and 50mm lens. Best photographic time I've ever spent! (Today I'd do it with a 35... I'm less bashful now. :) )

While I like the ThinkTankPhoto Urban Disguise series, I've not been all that enthused when I've checked out their other lines. They seem bulkier than they ought to be for their capacity.

That size to capacity is why I find the BLB "Oskar's One Day Bag mark II" (and the A&A ACAM 7100/7000) so appealing. It's light, trim to carry, and holds a massive amount of stuff while remaining very protective. The Billingham L2 is a little more restrictive on space, and its shape seems ideal for my DSLR rather than the Leicas and mirrorless gear.

the L2 holds both cameras with lenses attached just perfectly.
the fujis are an in between size, smaller than dslrs but bigger than most mirrorless cams.
i prefer 2 lenses with 2 bodies...no lens changing...using one body doesn't really save all that much space.
i like the L2 because it has no extra little pockets, just the main compartment and a very usefully sized smaller outside pocket.

i'm thinking i'm going with my initial thinking of 2 bodies and 2 lenses.

For a vacation to major cities, one body three lenses. To somewhere that might not have a viable replacement should the main camera fail...two bodies and whatever lenses I feel like carrying.

Ultimately I would prefer to have the variety focal lengths at the ready should I feel they are needed.
