quick switch, b/w to color?

ok, this is the one thing that's eluding me so far- how to do a one-button, no menu switch between monochrome and color. my firmware is v.2.1, if that's any help. i'm using the 'raw' button for the n.d. filter. so what i'm trying to do is set the 'fn' button to switch from color (std is fine) to monochrome. but i can't seem to find a way to have a different film sim setting for default and 'fn'.
can anyone help me on this? i shoot mostly b/w, but there are times that i'd like to be able to very quickly switch to color if i see a suitable subject and the menu thing just isn't quick enough. is there possibly another way besides the 'fn' button?
any help sincerely welcome.......

shoot it RAW and play with the output later ?

Daveleo has it right. Shoot raw and then use the in camera processing later. Less thinking about gear when you are taking the image.

Not sure if this applies to all Fuji cameras, but on my X-Pro1, you can create presets that are accessible via the Q menu. It's not one click, but it's close (Q-button, turn the selector)

sorry, i didn't realize i hadn't mentioned it was an x100. if you shoot b/w raw plus jpeg can you process the raw file as color? i guess that would solve my problem.....

read the manual on how to convert a RAF (raw) to jpg in the camera. The menu for doing that has many options and does not delete the original RAF file. You can convert a RAF to as many different jpg's as you desire. IMO this is a fantastic feature.
If you don't have the manual, go online to the Fuji site.

why would you not shoot all digital in color? Is there an advantage of in-camera b&w against post-processed b&w?

a lot less work to get the image where i want it. i've got limited free time (i know, i know, doesn't everybody?) and the less time spent fiddling in p.p the more time i have that i could be shooting. plus, i i'm a rank newbee at doing everything aside from shooting a camera, so if the camera provides a 'look' in b/w that i like, (and from what i've seen the x100 does) the more likely i am to get prints that i'd be willing to hang or put in a portfolio.

i know a lot of you are vastly experienced amateurs or pros who realy know your stuff, but i'm just an enthusiast starting over from the begining after being out of the hobby for a long time. that's why i'm really grateful to those who have been answering my questions, and i will probably have many, many more- both about this camera and photography in general.....

you will find a lot of good feedback on this forum, for whatever level you are at. you just have to put up a bit with old guys like me barking at you 😀
in truth I only learned the X100 raw conversion feature a few months ago. it's the bees knees.

I have the RAW button set up to cycle between high saturated colour, black and white, and low saturation colour. I shoot raw and jpg most the time, and with the EVF I find it handy to have the viewfinder show what I'm shooting, esp in b&w.
