Hi guys,
Whilst looking through some of Guy Le Querrec's picture on Magnum website, i came across the attached picture.
Any ideas which camera it is? I am having a difficult time identifying it.
Regards,
Pan

I think it's a Nikon FM. No higher shutter speeds so first generation, no auto mode so not an FE, prism housing different to an FA.

The prism looks so odd.

Whatever
I'd say it's a Nikon FE with an MD-12. The FE has its ASA dial surrounding the rewind knob, whereas the FM has it within the shutter speed dial. From the photo it looks like there's a dial around the rewind.

I agree. I have an FE in my hand right now, definitely the same. I have no idea about the lens though, I suspect third party?

I think it's a pure coincidence that the angle makes the prism look flat. If you look very carefully, you can see the normal pentaprism shape is there. Possibly there is some lens distortion and a lack of contrast contributing to the illusion. Looks like the experts have identified the rig, I have nothing to add on that score. The prism looks so odd.

Lens looks like the Nikkor 15 mm 3.5 Ai-S.

Sure looks like a 15mm Nikkor to me.
Definitely not a 20/2.8.
Surely a FE body as well.

I've seen so many of these cameras with dented prisms from drops.

I don't think the F stop numbering on the 15mm was that far forward on the barrel. The focus ring on the 15mm is also ribbed on all variations

The lens is a 15mm f5.6.
There were 2 versions of this lens, an AI version and the earlier Nikkor - QD.C Auto version which is the one in the photo above. The guy may have got his copy AI converted, but we can't tell from above. The large 'N' can be seen in the photo indicating that the Neutral filter is dialled in. The visible lettering would say 'Auto 1:5.6 f= 15mm 3xxxxxxx'
For some more detail on the lens see https://www.destoutz.ch/lens_15mm_f5.6_330042.html

I like the more obscure camera brands and camera models for the "which camera is it" quiz.
