I'm just posting to say, how very pleased I am with my recently bought R-D1. I will do some more posting of images when i return from my current trip.

I have been shooting with the summicron-c 40, the ZM 25 and ZM 50/2.

Images are great, it's a pleasure to use and seemingly durable.

the other day I dropped it down a flight of carpeted stairs and held my breath when it bounced off the tile floor.

needless to say, the rangefinder needs adjusting, i'm going to get that done next week but other than that and a little scuff, it's fine.

this is the camera I have waited years for.

I've only ever dropped one camera, a Canon SLR, the camera was fine, but the lens exploded :(

How are you liking the 25 on your rd1? are you using the 28 framelines? I have the CV 28 but I'm loving my ZM 50 so I'm thinking of adding a ZM 28, but the 25 seems like an incredible lens.

Daniel, really liking the 25 I pretty much use the full frame to frame with it. the lens is very sharp, even wide open. I do however notice a little vignetting wide open.

the zm50/2 blows me away on this camera, truely great, i'm getting home today and have the ZM35/2 there, excited to try it!

cheers, mike
