Hello,
I got my R-D1 second hand and it is front focusing at close distance. I removed the hot shoe plate and ready to turn the screws...
Before I make any adjustment. just want to make sure if the rangefinder patch should be at the middle? My rangefinder patch is alligned to the upper left of the frame. ( more like alligned on the middle frame line border of the 35mm framelines).
If the patch is not alligned, should I adjust it first? I am probably OK for inifinity focus but I have only some used lenses to test against and I do not know which should be the reference?
Thanks for your help,
Ed

Check out RichC's site - you'll find just about all you need there.
The RF patch doesn't move, but the framelines do as you change focus from far to near which gives the impression that the patch is moving.
Good luck

Doesn't close focus adjustment require removing the top plate and adjusting the fourth screw, over by the "rewind knob"?
