I bought a bag of plastic Schneider-to-LTM adapters on eBay, only to find that they weren't for the Robot thread, which I'd expected, but for the enlarger lens thread. So I got out the dremel and hollowed out one of the adapters, and managed to wedge my Robot 38mm f/2.8 scale-focus lens in there. Then I stuck it on an M adapter, attached it to the R-D1, and went out into the yard.
Voila! It works. Infinity focus isn't right on the money--I think the flange is infinitessimally too thick--but at small apertures you can get stuff pretty sharp. I'd love a real Robot-LTM adapter, but the last one that was on German eBay sold for $75.
I was even tempted to create a new frame out of the slightly irregular square border you get with the Robot Star on film, and crop these down to squares & slap the border around them. But that's too dorky even for me.

Yeah, this is a Xenar...you can get 'em cheap on eBay with the Robot thread, but my adapter solution, frankly, is pretty lame. I'd love to get a few real ones made...maybe I should talk to a metal fabricator or something...

so there is Xenar 50mm f2? I just found some 50mm and 75mm in google. but they have slower speeds, hm except for 40mm f1.9
I just thought to try out Retina II or Rolleicord
But if you manage get some workable adapters so I'd love to try too. Robot cameras look cool

I've got a set of Robot lenses with a Robot-LTM-M adapter, works very well and a good way (with an R-D1) to learn scale focus. Set of examples here:

Beyond the testing shots I like the way this one looks

Terao, can you tell me where you got your Robot-LTM adapter? I have continued looking and can't find one anywhere.

Since it's just wedged in there, have you tried tilt-shifting the lens?
