Hello Everyone,

Well did a day in NYC this Thursday and man was it busy! Having the C/V 21/4 was worth every penny. Definately the lens to have for shooting in the street. Got the first roll back today that I have ever shot on the Bessa L and it is definately
going to take some learning on this camera. I did manage a few keepers and once I get done scanning I'll post more in the thread.

Overall I am happy with the Bessa L, moreso than I thought I would be. With the
21/4 it was nice to have such a wide lens...most of the shots I had I did at hip level figuring framing wouldn't be an issue with such a wide lens and people wouldn't yell about me snapping away at the surroundings if I happened to have them in the photo.

This one was shot about a block from Ground Zero.

Nice Hipster shot. looks like they are the ones who lost the buisness. the sign really puts it all together.

Glad you are enjoying the Wide experience. I have a 24mm for my Nikkormat. Only 12 degrees differance I think. But I have been looking at the CV 25mm for my R2. Can you put a link in your sig. for your RFF gallery, or where ever you have these pictures hosted?

Nice, I like it. I have the 25/4 on my L. I wan't to take mine out in the street also. What f stop did you have set on the L. Did you use one setting or did you play with it.

I think at this point I was still shooting at f8 or even f11 with quite a slow shutter speed as it was dark in the street plus I wanted some motion in the pics from the crowd. Thanks for the comments!

I find that shooting from the hip with these little cameras is alot easier than doing it with one of my Canon SLRs! Just to be able to look down at the Bessa L and see if exposure is good according to the LEDs is great.

I like this one better than the first. Looks like the L is proving to be a real street shooter. BTW I never thought of using the exposure meter like you did. Those LEDs make it a great little hipster.😀
