I don't know much about rangefinder cameras and was considering getting a longer lens for my R3A. Voigtlander has a couple of 75 and 90mm lenses for great prices, but are screwmount lenses.

If I get the appropriate Voigtlander adaptor, will screwmount lenses be coupled with the camera's rangefinder? I haven't been able to find this information anywhere...

I've used the CV 90 Lanthar with an adapter on a Leica M, the correct frames were selected automatically. If you want to use more than one LTM (screw) lens you only need a single adapter as he frame selection is manual.

The 90 is a good lens with surprising rendering ability, stop it down to f4 or 5.6 and its a very good lense indeed sharp edge to edge. This works well with the Bessas shorter than Leica RF base length as well so focussing should be no problem (much easier with the R3a 1:1 finder). The cap fits over the hood to keep any flare at bay.

I've used the 75 VC on my RA3 to great success. Also use a 135 Nikkor. Nice lens, under-rated, and can be gotten for a very good price. I recommend it.
