R3A with Sonnar 40/2.8 & Planar 80/2.8

In Esther Holidays, I went to Mainland China but encountered a very bad climate. I brought two Rollei lenses with my Bessa R3A.

i prefer the first shot, on the left.

they both look like paintings. sometimes bad weather can work in our favour.

Beautiful pictures. I too prefer the perspective of the one on the left (40 Sonnar?).

The camera position is different in the two photos, as if from a boat approaching the shore at an angle. So both shots might have been taken with the same lens? And I prefer the second one... 🙂

Both are very nice shots - I love the rain/haze in the far background. I also prefer the perspective on the white building in the left one. There's just something about how it's nestled down into the hills in that one that works for me.

For me the 40 mm perspective its the most natural. I never saw a photo with the Rollei Planar. Congratulations. I suppose that its a fantastic lens.

It's unusual to find a Planar in 80 mm focal length.
