R3M vertical alignment

Just got my R3M and it is not aligned vertically. I found a tutorial online (arransalerno website), but no matter how much I turn that screw (over 3 full turns) nothing changes (no better, no worse).

Any ideas?

Ideally I want to adjust myself, otherwise I wonder if I can have it fixed in Marseille, France (the first port of call of my upcoming trip).

sorry to bump this, but i have to.

the vertical alignment is also off on my R3M.

i cannot find anywhere how to adjust it. it seems to me like the top plate needs to be removed to access it.

if anyone knows how to adjust it, or how to remove the top plate, please respond!

thank you for responding, sam.

unfortunately it doesn't. i've looked this article over and over, but despite how often it's referenced the R3A he's working on has a different construction than the R3M and the screws aren't the same.

Sorry abou't that. If you do find any helpful info I would be interested to learn as I have as my "go to" cameras R3A & M and R2A.
