My interest into photography actually took off due to my big interest in auto racing.
So naturally my other big hobby was and is Racing Simulations (not so much the arcade style quick games, but more serious simulations).
A few years ago, one of the biggest forum for all topics regarding hardware, software, racing, modifications, DIY projects and also commercial projects of small startup ventures was RaceSimCentral.com.
The site was hosted with great enthusiasm and gave a platform for a great community … until … until it break down with a huuge loss in having it's data wiped during a server crash with subsequent troubles and change of operator.
I consider it a big loss for all old members and fellow racers.
I am an old member of the old forum, which recently has been given a fresh start. Some of the old people are around again, but the forum is still very, very empty.
I am not affiliated in any kind with the owners/ operators, but I am a enthusiastic member of the old board, wishing for resurrecting some of the old spirits and getting people together with the interest in racing, photography and of course simulators.
Here is my attempt of reviving the old racing photography thread in the new forum, fully dedicated to photography of racing and automotive topics by fellow racers and photographers.
If you share any interest in motor sports, photography and racing simulations, please feel welcome, to participate in the thread or help, reviving the site.
