I'd like to know how to get a black border without the rounded corners in LR3 (other than on a print which is easy!).

If you want the Mercedes, check out OneOne PhotoFrame.
Otherise, LR/Mogrify 2 works for LR2. Not sure about LR3.

Thanks everyone --
Are there any tutorials on how to do the ragged border with Mogrify?
I only found 1 youtube video showing regular frames: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaD41fYckfg
Photoframe looks great -- but expensive...

A few months ago I cobbled together an imperfect solution to ragged borders with Lightroom. The caveats are (a) you have to create a border for each aspect ratio/orientation combination you will want to export, and (b) you have to change an export setting for each group of images with different aspect ratios/orientations, and (c) it crops a little of your image. Since I only do 2:3 and 3:2, this isn't a big deal for me.
First step is to create an image in Photoshop that is the aspect ratio of the photo you wish to frame. Create a border that looks however you like, with transparency where you want the image to show through. Save it as a PNG and preserve transparency. A screenshot of my border open in Photoshop is below.
Then, in Lightroom, go to the export panel and find the watermarking option. Select the dropdown and go to the "Edit Watermarks" option. There you can create a new watermark with an image and give it an appropriate name. My settings are below.
Then when you export your images, do them in groups of the same aspect ratio/orientation and select the appropriate watermark. You can see samples of the final product on my Flickr page. Not perfect, but it seems to work pretty well.

fixed point - ^^ that is a clever solution!
Thanks for the Mogrify / LR3 confirmation, might try that out.
