I'd like some recommendations for his books. I appreciate most of his work, having looked at his website. The 50 years book looks like it might be a good cross section, but I think I'd like his stuff enough to buy more than one book, and so therefore don't want to double up too much. Thoughts?

I've got several of his books that I've enjoyed.
The Somnambulist, 1970
Deja-Vu, 1973
Days AT SEA, 1974
Infanta, 1995
The first three are similar in technique but not at all in subject matter. Surreal, maybe?
Infanta is a collection from 1988-1995 and there's a big difference in subject but the work has the same dark, contrasty printing values.
Personally I prefer the earlier stuff.
