Rangefinder adjustment on my own??

This link I found a while back, but it is for the "R" I have not examined a R2 to see similarities, but if you are a risk taker consider these " do not follow" directions maybe it can get you the adjustment you need. I would personally recommend you have a local camera shop do the adjustment if possible, especially if you have no warranty. Good luck, it always bothers me to hear of problems with the Voigtlander cameras.

Before you go off ripping open the Bessa-R2, just do a quick check whether the rangefinder is really out of alignment. The position of your eye behind the rangefinder influences what you perceive as correct. Keep your eye too high or too low gives the impression of vertical disaligment. Same goes for left/right with respect to horizontal alignment. Only when that's ruled out, consider adjusting...

Sorry to revive this year old thread... I've just followed the instructions Roger posted to adjust the infinity focus on my Bessa R (which is quite some way out on one of mine)... has anyone else used the instructions? When adjusting the infinity screw I still couldnt get the images to line up on the rangefinder patch (at infinity).. they get closer but the screw tightens off before the images converge so it wont adjust any further... anyone got any idea how I would sort that?
