I brought my RD-1x with me on my trip in my carry-on luggage.
I went to take it out shooting and noticed that it's not focusing precisely. -front focusing-
(Sidenote: This was an issue with the rangefinder before that I had recalibrated. The front focus was fixed.)
Is it possible that the rangefinder mechanism (prism) may have been knocked out of alignment during travel? It's a lot of money to have it recalibrated again 🙁
My Yashica Electro 35 GSN has no focus problems after examining photographs from it. They were traveling in the same bag. Is the RD-1x's rangefinder really that sensitive to shock? I mean, it's not like I threw the bag around, but I was definitely running around with it.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution without having to send it back for repair? 🙁
