Well, I've read about this before but I am not sure if that's exactly the same problem, but it seems that my Leica MP's rangefinder is out of adjustment at infinity.
I noticed that when I try to turn focusing ring on my 35mm Summilux all the way to the infinity the images in my viewfinded do not necessarily align correctly. In order to get that full alignment I have to turn the focusing ring perhaps 1-1.5mm back and then the images are aligned in my viefinder. This, I noticed, occurs only with the vertical lines.
Now does this represent a problem and if yes where does it originate? Is this an issue with the rangefinder or with the lens? How can it be adjusted/repaired? Are there any DIY manuals on the web that cover this issue?
