Rangefinder vertical misalignment at close distance

Hi!
I need some advice because my RD1 rangefinder shows a bit of vertical misalignment but only at close distance.
It's not a big trouble, indeed, but it gives me trouble in sharp focusing with wide lenses (summicron 50, for istance).
I've read all the infos about RD1 and how to fix the RF.
The matter is:
Should I fix it?
Will it affect infinity focus?

I've had this problem too. No idea how to fix it (ie, how to only affect the close distances), much less whether you should.
