Re: Move over, Babelfish...

Google now offers automatic language translation of webpages.
Here's a description of the Fujica Compact Deluxe camera translated from Korean:

"Fujica Compact Deluxe: There is Fujica Compact 35 where and it possesses
already it believes and more it purchases it is Fujica Compact Deluxe where
it is high position emphysema. A little the end which is a cursor Compact
colorless but… After are not the lens which 1.8 dawns and manual exposure
functional provision and 45mm anger angle and the lens ring from the
distance control handle back is feature. If as well directly under the some jelly,
from it was sweet the kindness rice field lens which hands over a thick color
feeling."

I look forward to using this powerful new tool in my web browsing! ;)

LOL!!

I used the Google 'translator' to 'translate' an English message to German for a colleague in Germany.

His response? "PLEASE don't do that again! Ever!!"

I was taught to drive by a Hungarian who spoke English just like a BabelFish translation, it probably explains why it took three goes to pass my test :D .

I'm still puzzling over this bit "where it is high position emphysema". Is this what they mean by "a smokin' camera" :D ?

?
Is it really the language barrier? My tennis teacher had me baffled yesterday evening with a revelation that I'm still trying to get to grips with...

""Just think hard about how you move your feet, and then you move automatically..."" Say what??

Add to that it's rice field lens with anger angles - smoking's the least of it's problems. :p

Have you ever typed something in, in english, and translated to - say italian, then translated back again? Lots of laughs. We used to write internal emails to people that way.

Early speech recognition software was always good for a laugh too. Usually to the point where it would still be trying to render your incoherent gurgling as you rolled around helplessly on the floor. Hours of fun.
Limited edition Guinness Marmite indeed!

English -> German -> French -> English:

" Did you actually write slightly inside, in English, - the Italian it translates and known as, then of return still translated? Puddle pools batches. We maintained to write the internal enamel with the people, the manner. "

Watch out for batches of puddle pools! :p

I love this game.... swallow of laugh indeed!

English > Korean > English

"Spread out, with English, inside silence splitting until now, it boils the hitter to translate again after that time - Italy U, it translate talk? Swallow of laugh. We wrote an inside e-mail in the method person."

FWIW I managed to locate a Fujica Compact Deluxe camera, though not from Korea.
Will report back regarding emphysema, anger, rice field, jelly, etc...
